| 背面描述 | The large Eastern Arabic numeral '1' dominates the central field as the primary denomination indicator. The Pashto word 'یوه' (meaning 'one') is inscribed above the numeral, and the word 'افغانی' (Afghani) appears in the lower field below it. Thirteen five-pointed stars are arranged in a circular border around the periphery of the field, framing the denomination devices in a decorative ring. |

1980 marks the year after the Soviet invasion, and Da Afghanistan Bank continued issuing coinage through the early years of the occupation largely to maintain the appearance of a functioning civilian state.
