Descrizione del dritto	Laureate and draped bust of George III facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair curls beneath the laurel wreath. The peripheral legend reads GEORGIUS III D:G:BRITANNIAR:REX F:D, with ACKEY TRADE and the date 1818 positioned in the lower field beneath the truncation. The effigy is enclosed by a raised inner border, with the reeded edge visible beyond the outer rim.

Descrizione del rovescio	The armorial bearings of the Company of Merchants Trading to Africa occupy the central field, featuring a divided shield with a trading vessel under sail in the lower half and a fortress with a lion passant in the upper half. The shield is surmounted by a crest comprising an elephant supporting a tower flying the Union flag. Two African figures serve as supporters on either side, each standing on an ornate scrollwork base that incorporates a cherub's head at the foot. The circular peripheral legend FREE.TRADE.TO.AFRICA.BY.ACT.OF.PARLIAMENT.1750. runs around the entire design within a raised inner border.
