The upper portion of the field shows vegetal sprays with berries or pellets, while the lower register carries the mint name and regnal epithet. The legend 'ya Karim / zarb Ganja' ('O Generous One / struck in Ganja') identifies both the issuing authority — invoking Karim Khan Zand by his honorific — and the mint of Ganja. A beaded or dashed inner border frames the central design, and a marginal legend runs along the outer rim. The flan is broadly struck and irregular, with a suspension hole pierced at the lower edge. |
