| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is wholly epigraphic, featuring a Persian verse legend arranged in horizontal registers separated by ruled lines, rendered in bold nastaliq script. The central field displays the royal formula proclaiming Sultan Husayn as 'the slave of the Commander of the Faithful,' asserting legitimacy through Shi'a devotion. Flanking floral or dotted ornaments appear at the margins of the text registers, a decorative convention of the period. The lower portion of the field carries the mint name Yerevan (Iravan), identifying the place of striking. The flan edges are uneven and show characteristic hammer-striking distortion. |
