| Descripción del anverso | The obverse bears an entirely epigraphic design executed in elegant nastaliq script, characteristic of late Safavid coinage. The field is divided by horizontal ruled lines into registers containing the Shi'a kalima and the names of the Twelve Imams. The uppermost register carries the shahada — 'There is no god but God, Muhammad is the Messenger of God, Ali is the Friend of God' — followed in successive registers by the names of the remaining Imams: Hasan, Husayn, Ali, Muhammad, Ja'far, Musa, Ali, Muhammad, Ali, Hasan, and Muhammad. The flan is irregular, as is typical of hammered Safavid silver, with portions of the legend occasionally clipped at the periphery. |

| Descripción del reverso | The reverse is wholly epigraphic, featuring a Persian verse legend arranged in horizontal registers separated by ruled lines, rendered in bold nastaliq script. The central field displays the royal formula proclaiming Sultan Husayn as 'the slave of the Commander of the Faithful,' asserting legitimacy through Shi'a devotion. Flanking floral or dotted ornaments appear at the margins of the text registers, a decorative convention of the period. The lower portion of the field carries the mint name Yerevan (Iravan), identifying the place of striking. The flan edges are uneven and show characteristic hammer-striking distortion. |
