| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a bold two-line Persian legend in nasta'liq script, divided by a horizontal line across the field. The upper register carries the devotional phrase proclaiming the issuer's servitude to Shah Safi, while the lower register records the mint name Hamadan. The inscription fills the entire coin surface, with the deeply struck characters showing pronounced relief typical of Safavid hammered coinage. The circular border is irregular, as is characteristic of hand-struck abbasi coinage of this period. |
