| Obverse description | The obverse features three horizontal lines of bold Arabic calligraphy filling the central field, comprising the Shahada and the declaration of Ali as the Friend of God. The legends are rendered in a fluid, cursive Naskh-style script characteristic of Zand-period Iranian coinage. A dotted border encircles the entire design, framing the inscriptions within a plain inner field. The flan is slightly irregular in shape, consistent with hand-struck hammered coinage of the period. |
