| 裏面の説明 | The reverse field is densely covered with a multi-line Arabic religious inscription in Nasta'liq script, presenting the Shi'a kalima and the names of the Twelve Imams: beginning with the shahada 'La ilaha ill-Allah, Muhammad Rasul Allah, Ali Wali Allah,' followed by the names Ali, Hasan, Husayn, Ali, Muhammad, Ja'far, Musa, Ali, Muhammad, Ali, Hasan, and Muhammad. The inscription fills the entire flan in a circular and linear arrangement, enclosed within a raised inner border and the same characteristic outer pellet border as the obverse, consistent with the artistic conventions of Safavid silver coinage from the Isfahan mint. |

Husayn was the last effective Safavid shah, and these late Isfahan strikes coincide almost exactly with the Afghan crisis that ended the dynasty. Mir Mahmud Hotaki's forces sacked Isfahan in 1722 after a seven-month siege during which famine killed tens of thousands — the mint effectively ceased operation as the city fell. Coins from the final years of this reign are often found with irregular flans and inconsistent die alignment, not through carelessness but because the Isfahan mint was under increasing logistical strain as provincial revenues collapsed and Afghan raiding parties cut supply routes into the capital.
