Obverse description Central field occupied by a three-line Persian inscription in bold Nasta'liq script reading 'Bande-ye Shah-e Velayat Husayn' (Servant of the King of Sanctity, Husayn), with the mint name Isfahan (Isfahān) and the AH regnal year 1133 inscribed in the lower exergue. The legends are rendered in deeply struck, flowing calligraphy characteristic of late Safavid hammered coinage. The entire design is enclosed within a plain inner border surrounded by a prominent outer border of raised pellets or dots, a hallmark feature of the Isfahan mint Type D issue.

Reverse description The reverse field is densely covered with a multi-line Arabic religious inscription in Nasta'liq script, presenting the Shi'a kalima and the names of the Twelve Imams: beginning with the shahada 'La ilaha ill-Allah, Muhammad Rasul Allah, Ali Wali Allah,' followed by the names Ali, Hasan, Husayn, Ali, Muhammad, Ja'far, Musa, Ali, Muhammad, Ali, Hasan, and Muhammad. The inscription fills the entire flan in a circular and linear arrangement, enclosed within a raised inner border and the same characteristic outer pellet border as the obverse, consistent with the artistic conventions of Safavid silver coinage from the Isfahan mint.
