| 裏面の説明 | Central field carries a Persian legend in Arabic script arranged in multiple lines, reading the mint and regnal year formula: 'Zarb Murshidabad sanat julus maimanat manus' (Struck at Murshidabad in the year of the auspicious and prosperous reign), with the regnal year numeral. As with the obverse, the legend extends beyond the small flan and is mostly off-flan, with only the central portion of the inscription visible. The die work follows the standard Mughal-tradition format used by the Bengal Presidency at Murshidabad for fractional rupee coinage of this period. |
