| Obverse description | Mexican republican eagle displayed with wings spread, perched atop a nopal cactus rising from a rocky outcrop, facing right with a serpent clutched in its beak and talons. The device is encircled by a half-wreath composed of oak and laurel branches. The legend REPUBLICA MEXICANA runs along the upper periphery of the coin. Note: diameter varies between 19 and 23 mm depending on die used. |
