| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of Philip II facing right, wearing a ruffled collar and elaborately detailed pauldrons, occupying the central field. The regnal date is divided by a cross and appears below the bust. The peripheral legend in Latin runs along the inner border, separated from the beaded outer rim. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic late Renaissance style typical of Habsburg Netherlands hammered coinage. |
