| Aanvullende informatie |
Bruce Lee died in Hong Kong in July 1973, and Gibraltar's decision to strike a commemorative in his honor more than two decades later places this coin firmly in the wave of celebrity bullion issues that flooded the market through the 1990s. The Gibraltar Government used these fractional crown series aggressively during this period, licensing entertainment and cultural figures well outside any plausible connection to the territory itself.
The .9999 fineness is notably purer than the .9167 gold standard of most sovereign-format coinage from the same era.
