The inscription reads a verse invoking the Imam of the Age as the source of gold and silver coinage in the world. The script is rendered with pronounced calligraphic relief, with decorative dot clusters adorning individual letter forms throughout. The irregular flan edges are typical of the hand-hammered production technique employed at Iranian mints of this period.
