Reverse description Quartered shield of arms displaying the combined heraldic devices of the counties of Stolberg and Wernigerode: the upper quarters bearing stags and the lower quarters bearing additional heraldic charges, all within an ornate wreath or mantling border. The last two digits of the date appear divided across the upper field flanking the shield. A circular Latin legend surrounds the composition, reading MONETA . COMITVM and continuing with the county name, characteristic of mid-sixteenth-century German hammered silver coinage.
