| 背面描述 | Central field depicts the Ara Pacis Westphalica, an altar of the Westphalian Peace, rendered as a tiered stone altar inscribed ARA PACIS WEST-THALICA, set upon a stepped plinth and surmounted by a tall obelisk or pyramid emitting radiating rays of light. Four classical columns, in pairs, flank the altar on either side, evoking a temple precinct, with smoke or clouds visible in the upper corners of the field. The surrounding circular legend in Latin, reading in two arcs at left and bottom, proclaims the wish that the Peace of Westphalia endure through future ages. The composition reflects the Baroque commemorative medallic tradition prevalent in the Imperial Free Cities of the Holy Roman Empire. |
