| Obverse description | Coat of arms of Archbishop Markus Sittikus von Hohenems within a beaded inner circle, the shield divided into quarters displaying the arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg (a rampant lion) and the personal arms of the Hohenems family (a rampant lion passant), surmounted by a princely hat above a crossed crozier and sword. The date 1613 appears divided at the top of the inner circle. The surrounding legend in Latin reads: MARCVS SITTICVS D G AREPS SAL A S L, separated by ornamental stops. The whole design is struck on a square klippe flan with a beaded border encircling the central motif. |

He is seated on an ornate throne, with small orbs visible at either side. A beaded inner circle surrounds the figure, with the Latin legend SANCTVS RUDBERTVS EPS SALZBVRGE distributed around the circumference and separated by a decorative stop. The design is executed in the fine hammered style typical of early seventeenth-century Salzburg klippe coinage. |
