Obverse description Two crossed wreaths forming a quartered design, with leaves oriented inwards toward the centre; shallow crescents occupy the central field at the intersection. The royal name of the issuing ruler is distributed across the four angles of the cross in Latin letters, reading E-P-P-I. The overall composition is characteristic of late Atrebatic-Cantian struck gold coinage of the early first century AD.
