Beschrijving voorzijde Central field occupied by the quartered arms of the Spanish Habsburgs — incorporating the castles of Castile, the lions of León, the pales of Aragon, and the eagle of the Holy Roman Empire — surmounted by an archducal crown. The shield is elaborately mantled with decorative foliage. A partial circular legend in Latin surrounds the arms reading ALBERTVS · ET · ELISABET · D : G, identifying the joint rulers Archduke Albert and Archduchess Isabella as sovereigns by divine grace. The coin exhibits the characteristic irregular flan and bold but slightly off-center strike typical of hammered billon coinage of the early seventeenth-century Low Countries.

Beschrijving keerzijde Central device consisting of an ornate crowned monogram, formed by the conjoined letters A and E (for Albertus and Elisabeth), interlaced in a decorative cipher style and surmounted by an archducal crown. A date numeral, partially visible, appears flanking the monogram. Below the cipher, a stylized floral or foliate ornament occupies the lower field. The surrounding Latin legend reads · ARCHID · AVST · DVCES · BVRG · ET · BRAB · Z ·, abbreviating the full titles Archdukes of Austria, Dukes of Burgundy and Brabant, etc. The reverse shares the irregular hammered flan characteristic of the series.
