正面描述 Left-facing draped bust of Queen Victoria, her hair neatly parted and drawn back with a ribbon, presented in the young portrait style. A small countermark or symbol appears in the lower left field before the queen's effigy. The portrait occupies the majority of the flan, with no encircling legend visible.

背面描述 The reverse features multiple lines of Persian or Urdu script in the Nastaliq style, arranged horizontally across the flan and divided by a horizontal rule. The calligraphic inscription likely references the issuing authority of Bindraban and regnal or mint details, consistent with Mughal-derived coinage conventions adopted by Indian princely states of the period.

附加信息

Bindraban — more commonly rendered as Brindaban or Vrindavan — was a small talukdari estate in the North-Western Provinces, not a recognized princely state with treaty rights, which makes its coinage an anomaly. The 1858–59 dates land squarely on the transfer of authority from the East India Company to the Crown following the Revolt of 1857, a period of administrative chaos during which local chiefs occasionally pressed their advantage and struck coins before British oversight tightened.

KM#16 is among the scarcer issues from this obscure issuer. Surviving specimens rarely appear at auction.
