The inscription reads: 'Zarb Jahangirnagar sanat 8 julus maimanat manus,' indicating the coin was struck at the Jahangirnagar (Dhaka) mint in the 8th regnal year of Shah Alam II's prosperous reign. The mint name and regnal year formula follow standard Mughal and early Bengal Presidency coinage practice, with no additional ornamental devices visible in the field.
