The surrounding legend in Gothic Latin letters reads: +hENRICVS x DI x GRA x AnGL x Z x FRA, proclaiming Henry as King of England and France by the Grace of God. The coin is struck in the heavy coinage style characteristic of Henry IV's early reign, with bold, deeply impressed dies typical of London Mint production. |
