| Obverse description | At the centre of the obverse, a quartered shield of the royal arms of England and France is set within a cusped tressure, with lis ornamenting the cusps and a crescent at the top. The entire design is enclosed within an inner beaded circle. The surrounding legend in Gothic Latin letters reads: +hENRICVS x DI x GRA x AnGL x Z x FRA, proclaiming Henry as King of England and France by the Grace of God.
