Obverse description	Central field displays the crowned municipal shield of Hildesheim, quarterly divided, with a cross motif in the upper half and a lattice or lozenge pattern in the lower half, all within a beaded inner circle. The shield is surmounted by a crown and flanked by decorative flourishes. The circumscribed Latin legend reading MONE: NOVA: HILDESEM: followed by the date runs along the outer border, separated from the inner field by a continuous beaded ring. The overall style is characteristic of early sixteenth-century German municipal hammered coinage.
