| 裏面の説明 | Within a beaded inner circle, a standing female figure — representing Minerva, the personification of the province — is depicted in classical drapery, facing three-quarters to the right. She rests her left arm upon an ornately decorated column or pedestal on which a Bible rests, and raises her right hand aloft holding a staff surmounted by a liberty cap. The figure is rendered in high relief consistent with the piedfort format. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design within the beaded border. |

Klippe piesdforts of this type were not circulating currency — they were presentation strikes, almost certainly produced for gifting to civic dignitaries or mint officials. The West Friesland mint operated under the looser oversight typical of the provincial mints of the Dutch Republic, which gave individual mint masters more latitude to produce such special strikings than their counterparts in Holland or Zeeland enjoyed. The doubled-weight format at 1.5–2 times normal was a deliberate signal of prestige, the extra silver making the object as much a gift as a coin.
HPM Wf 51.1 is a scarce reference — provincial klippe issues of the mid-eighteenth century were never systematically catalogued until Purmer and Van der Wiel's work.
