The hair is styled in a voluminous curled periwig typical of the mid-18th century. The peripheral legend reads FRID.ALEX.COMES WEDAE R. ET I., identifying the ruler as Friedrich Alexander, Count of Wied, Runkel and Isenburg. The date 1753 appears in the lower exergue beneath the truncation. |
