| Beschrijving keerzijde | A bold cross pattée with fleury terminals occupies the central field, its four arms terminating in trefoil fleur-de-lis ornaments, characteristic of the Savoyard coinage of Amadeus VIII. The cross is contained within a plain inner circle, beyond which a beaded border frames the circumferential legend in uncial Latin characters. The devotional legend CRVCEM TVAM ADORAMVS, introduced by a cross pommée, reads continuously around the coin and is a hallmark of this series of Savoyard quarter grosso issues. |
