| Reverse description | A bold, bold-limbed Latin cross occupies the central field, its four arms extending toward the inner beaded border and dividing the field into four quarters. A small crown appears above the cross, and fragmentary decorative elements are visible in the angles. The surrounding legend reads CONRADVS REX in uncial Latin letters, a traditional invocation of the name of Conrad, referencing the nominal overlordship claimed by the Genoese lords of Chios. The hammered flan is irregular in outline, as is characteristic of this series. |
