| Obverse description | Within a central beaded inner circle, a city gateway (castello) rendered in bold relief, characteristic of Genoese coinage tradition. A circular legend in uncial Latin characters surrounds the beaded border, with the mint master's initial letter appearing at the conclusion of the legend. The overall fabric is irregular, as typical of hammered medieval gold coinage, with the design elements showing the flat, stylized aesthetic of 14th-century Italian municipal issues. |

| Reverse description | A bold cross pattée, with flared terminals, fills the inner field and is contained within a beaded inner circle. The arms of the cross divide the field into four equal quadrants. A circular legend in uncial Latin characters runs between the inner beaded circle and the outer rim, invoking the nominal authority of the Holy Roman Emperor Conrad. The strike, consistent with hammered technique, displays the characteristic irregular planchet shape of small-denomination medieval gold coinage. |
