| Descrizione del rovescio | A floriated cross with fleurs-de-lis at each arm terminus occupies the centre of the reverse, with a crowned capital L monogram at its heart, each quadrant of the cross adorned with a small globule. The date 1625 appears in the upper portion of the encircling legend, which reads SIT. NOMEN. DOMINI. BENEDICTVM., a pious invocation meaning 'Blessed be the Name of the Lord.' The overall design is crisp and well-centred, consistent with the high-quality milled coinage introduced under Nicolas Briot's supervision. |
