Alvise Pisani served as Doge from 1735 until his death in 1741, but trial strikes associated with his reign are documented only within the narrow 1735–1737 window — almost certainly reflecting early mint activity following his election rather than a sustained production run. The off-metal nature of this piece, struck in fine gold rather than the silver of the circulating issue, places it firmly in the category of piedfort-adjacent presentation material produced for dignitaries or mint records rather than commerce.
