| 裏面の説明 | Central field features a naturalistic tree with spreading branches and full canopy rising from a grassy groundline, flanked by two scrolling cartouches or oval medallions inscribed with the abbreviated names DAVID and IONAT (Jonathan), alluding to the biblical friendship recounted in the Books of Samuel. A beaded border surrounds the design, with a continuous German-language legend around the periphery completing the devotional inscription begun on the obverse, referencing the secret words shared between David and Jonathan. |

Württemberg-Oels was one of the fragmented Silesian duchies that passed through Protestant hands during a period when Habsburg pressure was steadily dismantling Lutheran institutions across the region. Sylvius II Friedrich ruled from 1664 until his death in 1697, and fractional gold of this type — issued from a minor court with limited minting infrastructure — was produced in small quantities, largely for ceremonial gift-giving and court use rather than everyday exchange.
The duchy reverted to Habsburg control shortly after his line died out.
