| 裏面の説明 | Crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed in the field, each head surmounted by an individual crown beneath a larger central imperial crown. An escutcheon on the eagle's breast bears the crowned Bohemian lion passant. The shield is encircled by the linked chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece. A Latin legend runs around the periphery, with the divided date 1710 incorporated at the conclusion of the inscription, and the mintmark P.M appearing at the base. |

Joseph I inherited the Bohemian crown as part of the Habsburg composite monarchy and ruled during the War of the Spanish Succession, a conflict that strained imperial finances considerably. The Prague mint continued striking fractional gold throughout this period, partly to service the needs of court and merchant transactions that base-metal coinage could not efficiently handle.
Diet#952 is a recognized rarity in the quarter-ducat series for this reign. Joseph died in April 1711 from smallpox at thirty-two, making his Prague issues a compressed run of just six years.
