| Obverse lettering | UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IN GOD WE TRUST LIBERTY S QUARTER DOLLAR |
| Reverse description | The reverse, engraved by Phebe Hemphill, depicts a dramatic panoramic view of the ancient Nankoweap granaries perched high in the canyon walls above the Nankoweap Delta in Marble Canyon, with the Colorado River visible below. The design evokes the geological grandeur and rich cultural heritage of Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona. The inscriptions GRAND CANYON and ARIZONA arc along the upper and lower periphery respectively, flanking the central vignette. The date 2010 appears in the lower field, and the national motto E PLURIBUS UNUM is inscribed within the design. The reverse is part of the America the Beautiful Quarters program. |
