Reverse description A heraldic American bald eagle displayed at center, with wings spread and head turned to its left, breast bearing a vertical striped shield. The eagle clutches an olive branch in its right talon and a bundle of three arrows in its left talon. The legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA arcs around the upper periphery, while the denomination QUAR. DOL. appears in the lower field. No motto ribbon is present above the eagle, consistent with the without-motto type. A dentilated border surrounds the entire design.
