| Descrizione del dritto | The obverse displays dense Arabic calligraphic inscriptions filling the entire field in a bold, cursive script characteristic of Yemeni Islamic coinage. A central cartouche contains the date 1367 AH, with the name and titles of Imam Ahmad Hamid ed-Din arranged concentrically around it. The legend identifies the ruler as Commander of the Faithful and supporter of God's religion. The overall design follows the traditional Islamic convention of purely epigraphic decoration, with no figural imagery. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse features a central circular cartouche enclosing the Shahada in bold Arabic calligraphy: the declaration that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His messenger. Surrounding the central cartouche is a secondary legend naming the Mutawakkilite Kingdom of Yemen and the mint city of Sana'a, separated by five-pointed stars. The denomination, Quarter Ahmadi, is inscribed in the outer legend along with the regnal year 77/5. The design is entirely epigraphic, consistent with Islamic numismatic tradition, with the Arabic script rendered in a confident, flowing hand. |
