正面描述	Bare-headed effigy of Queen Victoria facing left, her hair dressed with a diadem of pearls and drawn back into a chignon secured with a decorative pin, rendered in the so-called 'Young Head' portrait engraved by Leonard Charles Wyon. The truncation of the neck is plain and unadorned. The peripheral legend reads VICTORIA D.G. BRITANNIAR. REGINA F.D., separated by raised dots, with the date 1871 positioned at the base of the design below the portrait. The coin is bordered by a continuous ring of beads.

背面描述	The Arms of Jersey occupy the central field, depicting a shield bearing three leopards passant guardant in pale on a vertically-lined background, set within an ornate baroque cartouche with scrollwork and foliate decorations at the sides and base, and a small sprig at the top. The shield is displayed prominently and fills much of the coin's surface. The circular legend STATES OF JERSEY. ONE TWENTY-SIXTH OF A SHILLING. runs around the periphery, divided between the upper and lower portions of the design, with a dot separating the two elements of text at the right. A continuous beaded border frames the entire reverse.
