Reverse description The Arms of Jersey occupy the central field, depicting a shield bearing three leopards passant guardant in pale on a vertically-lined background, set within an ornate baroque cartouche with scrollwork and foliate decorations at the sides and base, and a small sprig at the top. The shield is displayed prominently and fills much of the coin's surface. The circular legend STATES OF JERSEY. ONE TWENTY-SIXTH OF A SHILLING. runs around the periphery, divided between the upper and lower portions of the design, with a dot separating the two elements of text at the right. A continuous beaded border frames the entire reverse.
