正面描述 Imperial orb surmounted by a cross with fleur-de-lis terminals, displayed at center within an inner beaded circle, with the denomination numeral '24' inscribed within the orb. The mintmaster's initials 'L' and 'W' appear in the field to the left and right of the orb respectively. The circular legend reading CHRIST.LUD.D.G. DUX BR.ET LUN surrounds the inner circle, separated by a beaded border from the coin's edge.

附加信息

Christian Louis ruled Celle from 1641 until his death in 1665, and his coinage reflects the slow monetary reconstruction of the Lower Saxon Circle following the Thirty Years' War. The 1/24 Thaler denomination — the Groschen equivalent — was the workhorse of everyday exchange in the northern German states, and Celle's output during these years fed commerce that had been strangled for decades by wartime disruption and Swedish occupation of key regional territories.

The Fiala reference places this among a tightly documented sequence from the Clausthal mint, which served as the primary striking facility for Celle's silver coinage drawing on Harz mountain ore.
