The shield is flanked by decorative mantling. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, reading D.G.REX.POL.M.D.L., identifying the ruler by the grace of God as King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania. The overall design is executed in the baroque style characteristic of the Leipzig Mint output of the early eighteenth century. |
