| Obverse description | Left-facing crowned effigy of King George VI, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the crown and facial features. The truncation of the bust is cleanly cut, with the engraver's initials 'PM' (Percy Metcalfe) discreetly placed below the portrait. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery of the coin, separated from the effigy by a clear field. The overall style reflects the restrained, formal portraiture characteristic of British Commonwealth coinage of the late 1930s. |

| Reverse description | The Jersey arms — a shield bearing three leopards passant guardant in pale — occupies the central field, with the four-digit date divided on either side of the shield. The circular legend 'STATES OF JERSEY' arcs across the upper periphery, while the denomination 'ONE TWENTYFOURTH OF A SHILLING' runs around the lower periphery. The engraver's initial 'G' (George Kruger Gray) appears at the lower right of the shield. The design is framed by a beaded border, and the bold heraldic shield is rendered with crisp, deeply incised detail typical of Kruger Gray's work. |
