(Translation: GEORGIVS VI DEI GRATIA BRITANNIARUM OMNIUM REX FIDEI DEFENSOR INDIAE IMPERATOR George the Sixth by the Grace of God King of all the Britons Defender of the Faith Emperor of India PM)
Reverse description The Jersey arms — a shield bearing three leopards passant guardant in pale — occupies the central field, with the four-digit date divided on either side of the shield. The circular legend 'STATES OF JERSEY' arcs across the upper periphery, while the denomination 'ONE TWENTYFOURTH OF A SHILLING' runs around the lower periphery. The engraver's initial 'G' (George Kruger Gray) appears at the lower right of the shield. The design is framed by a beaded border, and the bold heraldic shield is rendered with crisp, deeply incised detail typical of Kruger Gray's work.
