| Beschrijving keerzijde | Four-line central inscription in the field denotes the denomination, reading '24 / I / REICHS / THAL', indicating one twenty-fourth of a Reichsthaler. Small rosette or mullet ornaments flank the upper numeral. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central inscription, incorporating the date 1692 and the mint authority. The overall composition is characteristic of the small-denomination Landmünze coinage of the German ecclesiastical states in the late 17th century. |

Frederick Christian von Plettenberg-Lenhausen became Prince-Bishop of Münster in 1688, inheriting a diocese still recovering from the devastating Nine Years' War campaigns that had swept through Westphalia. His brief coinage, including this small fractional issue, spans just two years before his death in 1706 cut short a reign that never fully stabilized the bishopric's finances. The 1⁄24 Reichsthaler denomination was a workhorse of small commerce in the Holy Roman Empire, its value fixed by the Leipzig Foot of 1690 — a monetary convention Münster had only recently adopted.
