| Opis rewersu | Central Arabic religious inscription within a beaded inner circle, reading یا صاحب الزّمان علیه السّلام ('O Lord of the Age, peace be upon him'), an invocation to the Twelfth Imam of Shia Islam. The inscription is executed in elegant Nastaliq calligraphy. Surrounding the beaded circle is a wreath of leafy branches tied at the base, with a decorative floral ornament at the top. The mint name طهران (Tehran) appears within or below the inscription. The overall design is characteristic of late Qajar devotional coinage. |
