Beschrijving voorzijde Armored equestrian figure of John George I depicted in right profile, mounted on a rearing horse and brandishing a sword aloft, symbolizing his role as Imperial Vicar. The date 1619 is divided on either side of the horse's forelegs. In the lower field, a crowned oval Saxon electoral arms cartouche appears beneath the horse. The legend PRO LEGE ET GREGE ('For law and the people') encircles the design, interrupted by the figure, in bold hammered relief. Small floral ornaments adorn the lower field, consistent with early 17th-century Saxon minting style.
Schrift voorzijde Latin

Beschrijving keerzijde The entire reverse field is occupied by a bold multi-line Latin inscription in capital letters, arranged in ten horizontal lines without any central device, a format characteristic of Saxon Vicariat commemorative coinage. The text records John George I's full titles and dignities as Imperial Administrator and General Vicar during the vacancy of the Holy Roman Empire following the death of Emperor Matthias. The lettering is deeply struck in hammered relief, filling the field to the milled border. The inscription begins with D.G. and concludes with the issuing year 1619 on the final line.
