| Descrizione del rovescio | A large six-fold quartered coat of arms occupies the central field, incorporating the heraldic devices of Brunswick, Lüneburg, Westphalia, Everstein, Homburg, and Regenstein, with a small central escutcheon. Three elaborate crested helmets with flowing mantling rise above the shield. The entire composition is framed by a wreath of laurel or palm branches. The motto legend PRO PATRIA CONSUMOR ('I am consumed for the fatherland') runs around the outer border in Latin. |
