| Obverse description | Saint Martin of Tours on horseback advancing to the left, his cloak billowing behind him, depicted in the act of charity with a kneeling beggar below to the right. An ornate oval cartouche bearing the arms of the Archbishopric of Mainz is displayed in the lower field. The composition reflects the Baroque artistic style characteristic of early eighteenth-century German ecclesiastical coinage. |

| Reverse description | Six lines of bold raised Latin text centered within a decorative wreath of flowering foliate branches, the inscription reading CAPITVLVM METROPOLITANVM MOGVNTINVM SEDE VACANTE with the date 1732 as the final line. The wreath border is composed of naturalistic sprigs with blossoms and small floral ornaments distributed around the inner field. A small mintmaster's mark or ornament appears at the base of the wreath.
