Obverse description Central field displays the Trivulzio heraldic shield, bearing vertical stripes, surmounted by a crested helmet from which emerges a decorative plume and foliate mantling spreading across the field. Flanking the arms are elaborate leafy branches extending toward the periphery. The surrounding legend reads TRIVL · · M · VIGLE · ET · C in Latin characters, referencing the Trivulzio lordship titles. The overall composition is characteristic of late-medieval Italian hammered coinage, with bold relief in the armorial design.

Reverse description A fully armored warrior, depicted in the Roman antique style, seated facing left upon a throne or rocky ground, holding a long lance or scepter upright in one hand and resting the other on a shield or weapon at his side. The figure is rendered with considerable detail in the breastplate and leg armor, conveying martial authority. Small decorative stars appear in the lower field beneath the figure. The circular border legend · MONETA · NOVA · ARGENTEA · in Latin script identifies this as a new silver coinage of the Trivulzio lordship.
