The effigy is rendered in high relief consistent with piedfort production, displaying considerable sculptural depth. A beaded inner circle frames the portrait, with the royal Latin legend distributed around the periphery between the inner beaded border and the outer rim. |

A small floral mintmark ornament appears at the base of the legend. |
