Reverse description The royal arms of Travancore depicted with two caparisoned elephants as supporters, each kneeling on the inner foreleg and facing inward toward a central conch shell surmounted by a stylised finial or crown, all resting above two crossed ceremonial objects in the lower field. Malayalam script legends appear in two lines around the upper periphery and in a further line across the lower portion of the field. The overall heraldic composition is deeply struck in high relief, consistent with the artistic conventions of Travancore state coinage.
